Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking to hire a Accountant at Global Service Solutions Dubai to join our expanding team. You will work and provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.

1. Liaise with financing banks, assess trade profitability, actively participate, and control the bank-related reconciliations and transactions.

2. Ensure all invoices and payments (payable and receivable) take place in a timely and effective manner of all suppliers and ensuring an efficient paper trail is in place. Capability to manage Accounts & taxation needs of a growing organization in a dynamic way.

3. Ensure that business transactions in the ERP Oracle Financials are reported in accordance with IFRS.

4. Handling the VAT reporting and submission in coordination with the VAT consultant.

5. Handling accounting transactions like posting journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, etc.,

6. Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.

Qualifications and Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or related field

CMA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA preferred

Oracle Net suite

Minimum 4 years experience in accounting

Proficient knowledge of VAT filing regulations in the region

Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures.

Ability to work independently

Analytical skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong technical skills related to tax preparation, review and compliance.

Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
