Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking to hire a Accountant at Plectrum Trading LLC to join our expanding team. You will work and provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.

  • Creation and Posting of Journal Entries of Purchase and Expense.
  • Creation and Posting of Journal Entries of Intercompany.
  • Creation and Posting of Journal Entries of Accruals and Deferrals.
  • Preparation of monthly Reconciliation of Control and Journal Account.
  • Monthly closing of Financial Entries.
  • Knowledge in Accounting Software E.g. Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Dynamic, Microsoft Navision.
  • Proficiency of Accounting Principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office O365.
  • Ability to Handle General Ledger (Contracting Field)
  • Ability to Prepare Financial Statements.
  • Knowledge in Accurate Accountancy, Deferral Accounting, Depreciation calculation, Control Account, Journal Account, and Journal posting.

  • Qualifications and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or related field
  • Minimum 2 years in accounting (preferred MEP industry)
  • Proficient knowledge of VAT filing regulations in the region
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical skills related to tax preparation, review and compliance.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
