Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking to hire a Junior Branch Accountant at Jubaili Bros. LLC to join our expanding team. You will work and provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.
1. Handle the branch petty cash and prepare transaction reports as frequently as needed
2. Prepare receipts received from cheques and cash payments received and arrange delivery of postdated cheques (PDC) to Accounts Dept. – Jebel Ali.
3. Control and replenish petty cash and custody boxes, by making entries of daily received cheques and cash payments and the expenses paid out to maintain the specified balance set for the boxes.
4. Prepare and monitor invoices for gensets, spare parts, maintenance services, and others.
5. Prepare payment vouchers as per the approved purchase order (PO) or store receipt voucher (SRV).
6. Collect invoices from suppliers and send them to the Accounts Dept. – Jebel Ali.
7. Follow up on the receivables of spare parts customers and highlight the critical accounts when needed.
8. Prepare daily movement and sales reports as and when required.
9. Follow up on telex transactions with Account Dept. - Jebel Ali and update the Spareparts team.
10. Prepare a statement of account (SOA) of customers as per Sales Team’s request.
11. Ensure proper filing of all related documents.
12. Comply with the company policies and procedures, in order to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.
13. Comply with all relevant health and safety requirements, in order to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance.
Qualifications and Certification
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the finance / Accounts department
Excellent Communication skills
Ability to work independently
Analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong technical skills related to tax preparation, review and compliance.
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
