The Accountant is responsible for processing, recording, updating and reconciling accounting transactions with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with the company methods and policies ensuring the integrity of accounting information.
Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking to hire an Accountant at Albatha Holding UAE to join our expanding team.
We are looking a Accountant with an analytical mind and fantastic organizational skills. Accountants are expected to be detail oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
Preparing all local purchase orders based on estimates and quotations received from local vendors.
Preparing bank reconciliation and Post-dated cheque maturity.
Preparing vendor payments – local and foreign.
Assisting in preparing staff salary and leave salary cheques.
Checking of cash deposits from respective stores on daily basis.
Preparing salesmen incentives cheques and maintaining records in excel.
To prepare and ensure timely payments for telephone bills, petrol, water, and electricity.
To prepare and ensure timely payments for air travel bills of staff and others.
To monitor and control all showrooms and workshop cash control accounts.
To reconcile and maintain records of sister concern accounts.
To coordinate the opening of bank accounts for new employees.
Reconciling credit card payments received from respective locations.
Reconciling staff customer accounts on regular basis.
To assist in preparing financial accounts.
Custodian of unused cheques and signed cheques before delivery to suppliers.
Custodian of impress fund and preparing petty cash vouchers.
Sending signed cheques and documents to Albatha & to receive the same.
Maintaining outgoing payment register.
Maintaining payment records and files.
Surprise store visits as and when required.
Providing accounting support during store inventories.
Performing banking activities such as the collection of documents and depositing cash as and when required.
Qualifications and Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent
1-2 years of experience
Must be engaging and enthusiastic, a self-starter
Able to work under pressure
Able to join immediately preferred
Ability to work independently
Analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong technical skills related to tax preparation, review and compliance.
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
