We are looking for a Senior Accountant with practical knowledge and experience of the UAE Tax & Excise tax Legislation with an Industrial / Manufacturing background. One must have a comprehensive understanding of the principles of VAT/TAX and the application of the legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing of accounting records on daily basis.

Establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information, and managing the accounting staff.

Conducting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes.

Preparation of monthly financial statements for individual companies and consolidated groups.

Collect, analyze and summarize accounting information.

Preparation of monthly invoices and effective & efficient receivables management.

Bank reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, and Payable reconciliation and analysis.

Assist in forecasting and budget preparations.

Analyze transactions and develop periodic reports for management.

Preparation and filing of VAT and WHT return.

Develop periodic reports for management analysis.

Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures.

Keep information confidential and secure with regular database backups.

Keep up with financial policies, regulations, and legislation.

Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents and expenditures.

Liaison with external auditors, preparing workings for external audit and review engagements, and finalizing the audit and review reports.

Updated knowledge of developments in IFRS and new accounting standards.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum 5-7 years experience in accounting/finance.

CPA or ACCA preferred not mandatory.

Strong knowledge of IFRS

Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.

Excellent analytical skills.

Proactive approach, Team player.
