Desired Candidate Profile

Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills and must be a good team player.

Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closing of Accounts

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable

Compute taxes and prepare tax returns

Compute Interest on Bank Facilities and accounting.

Ensure timely payments

Processing transactions, issuing cheques, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.

Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.

Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.

Recording and filing cash transactions.

Controlling credit and chasing debt.

Periodical Bank reconciliations

Issuing Purchase Orders, verification GRN’s / Supplier Invoices

Calculation of monthly Depreciation/ Staff and other Provisions

Adherence and compliance with financial and VAT regulations

Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.

Administration of bank accounts and petty cash

Comply with financial policies and regulations

Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.

Qualifications / Selection Criteria for Role

Bachelor’s / Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance.

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as General Accountant in UAE .

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office

Candidate shall be a self-starter

Experience in FMCG / Food industry is an advantage

Must have a valid UAE Driving License.
